Lady GaGa was given a boost during an appearance on a U.S. talk show this week (beg23May11) as her mother was sat in the front row of the audience.
The pop superstar joined the panel of The View to promote her new album Born This Way and her mum Cynthia Germanotta was there to support her.
During the chat, Gaga thanked her mother for turning out to see her interview and credited her with supporting her career, telling the hosts, 'I'm really, really lucky. I have got a great family, just having my mum here means so much to me."
When asked about her quirky fashion sense, Gaga replied, "This is just the way I am, I was born this way," while Cynthia joined in to concur, "She was".
The singer also revealed her mother first realised the height of her daughter's fame when she saw host Whoopi Goldberg discussing one of her wacky costumes on The View. Gaga adds, "She said 'Whoopi was talking about your Kermit outfit!'. I was like 'Mom, we've made it!'"
