The Cannes film festival might all be about glitz, glam and making movies - but it hasn't stopped some of the biggest names in showbiz clubbing together to raise money for charity.

Kylie Minogue was joined by the likes of Sharon Stone and Naomi Campbell in a dinner and auction for funds to fight Aids.

The event cost a staggering £2,500 a head, but with the likes of Claudia Schiffer and Elle Macpherson in attendance, financial restraint wasn't an option.

A series of impressive lots went under the hammer, including a tennis lesson with former champ MONICA SELES and a stunning pair of Swarovski crystal-decorated shoes.

And Stone and Minogue even found time to sing a duet on stage together - with bids totalling £200,000 for each of the two songs the makeshift pair performed.

Other big names from the world of film who attended the annual American Foundation for Aids Research bash included George Clooney, Matt Damon and Goldie Hawn.
