Kurt Cobain's uncle is pleased the late rocker's daughter FRANCES BEAN has been removed from the custody of her mother Courtney Love - because the singer is "not fit" to take care of the teenager.
The 17 year old was placed under the temporary guardianship of Cobain's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, last Friday (11Dec09), prompting reports Love lost custody due to a drug relapse.
A judge has also reportedly issued a temporary restraining order to keep Love away from her daughter.
Charles Fradenburg admits his sister, O'Connor, has been seeking custody of the youngster for a long time amidst fears over Love's parenting skills.
He tells TMZ.com, "(O'Connor) has been trying to get custody of Frances for quite a few years. Courtney is not fit to take care of Frances, she can barely take care of herself... Courtney wasn't doing any parenting at all, she was hiring nannies to do all of the work.
"This (ruling) is a wonderful thing for the family."
