Comedienne Melissa MCCarthy, who co-wrote, produced and starred in the film, which is directed by her husband Ben Falcone, reveals she was star-struck meeting the diminutive actor, and she and Kristen risked getting on Peter's nerves by repeatedly performing the Game of Thrones theme tune.

"I got pretty freaked out to meet Pete Dinklage, because... there's just something about him..." Melissa explained on U.S. morning show Live! With Kelly and Michael, before adding of their constant humming, "By the 55th time he was like, 'I know the song!'"

However, it was Game of Thrones enthusiast Kristen who took full advantage of her time with Peter to find out everything she could about the fantasy show.

"He's just super cool, he's a really extremely funny guy, and everyone was kind of a little undone by him," Melissa continued. "Kristen Bell is truly too much. Her questioning of Game of Thrones, her weird knowledge of backstories and knowing blogs... She's like, 'Well, so and so said on April 17th...' She was asking him stuff and he was like, 'Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about anymore. I've never gone that deep (into the story)!'"

And when it came time for Peter to leave the set after his final day of shooting, everyone was a little saddened.

"The day he left everyone was really mad at Ben and I...," Melissa recalled. "He was going to do another film... and yet we got blamed. We had to be like, 'We're not firing Pete, if you want to be mad at somebody be mad at Pete. Pete's leaving us!'"

In The Boss, Melissa plays a wealthy business mogul who is used to getting her own way until she's sent to federal prison for insider trading. After finding herself homeless and a public hate figure, she tracks down her former assistant, played by Kristen, in a bid to her rebuild her career.
