Reality star Kris Jenner has shocked her family with plans to change her name back to Kardashian.
The 60-year-old made the confession during a car trip with her daughter Khloe in a deleted scene from the family's Keeping Up with the Kardashians show.
When the 31-year-old asked how her mother always managed to score a reservation at their favourite Mexican restaurant, Kris revealed she just calls the manager and says, "It's Kris Kardashian".
"Your name isn't Kris Kardashian," Khloe pointed out, prompting Kris to reply, "I'm going to change my name back to Kardashian."
When Khloe asked why she had decided to make the name change after more than 24 years as a Jenner, during her marriage to former Olympian-turned-transgender icon Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner, Kris was quick to explain.
"I was that before you were that," Kris chuckled. "I was the original Kardashian."
This isn't the first time Kris has considered reclaiming her former name - she was close to switching back while still married to Bruce. The couple split in October, 2013, and Kris filed for divorce a year later.
During their candid chat, Khloe couldn't understand why her mum wanted to start using her name from her first marriage to Khloe's late father Robert.
"Why don't you go back to your maiden name?" she asked.
Kris insisted her original second name, Houghton, didn't sound right, but Khloe continued to berate her mother on behalf of her half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
"Don't you think that's insulting to your two daughters?" she asked, but Kris was indignant, replying: "If Bruce can change his name to Caitlyn, I think I'm good."
