Country star Ronnie Dunn was reunited with his Brooks & Dunn bandmate Kix Brooks as he was feted at a party in his honour in Nashville, Tennessee.
Executives at performance rights organisation Broadcast Music, Inc. (Bmi) celebrated Dunn's songwriting success with a bash on Thursday (04Aug11).
Jody Williams, Bmi's vice president of writer-publisher relations, told the crowd, "He now inhabits the same rarefied (songwriting) air as Merle Haggard, the Bee Gees and Gamble and Huff."
Dunn later took to the stage to thank the crowd, before singling out his longtime singing partner Brooks in the audience and praising him.
The Little Miss Honky Tonk hitmakers dissolved their partnership last year (10).
