The American country-music duo BROOKS & DUNN are set to play their final concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville tonight (2nd September 2010), but Metro Police have warned that traffic in-and-around the venue could get messy, reports Tennessean.com. Fans of the GRAMMY AWARD winning duo will be heading to the concert alongside football fans making their way to the Titans-Saints game, which is taking place minutes from the gig - both events are expected to attract tens of thousands of people, with many eager to see the band's last performance.
The duo, consisting of vocalists Kix Brooks and RONNIE DUNN, have recorded ten studio albums and their debut record, 'Brand New Man' went six-times platinum. Despite announcing in August 2010 that they would part ways after one final tour in order to pursue solo careers, BROOKS & DUNN have been nominated for 'Vocal Duo of the Year' at the annual CMA Awards.
The winners of the annual CMAs - which many regard to be the biggest night in country music - will be announced at the ceremony on November 10th 2010. The show is set to be hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
