Country star Kip Moore is winning his battle with depression after fighting the blues for the past two years.
The singer went public with his health issues during a show in Spokane, Washington in February (16), revealing he had been secretly struggling for quite some time.
"I've always been a very happy person, but... I hit a real state of depression about a year and a half ago, and I wouldn't leave my house for a while," he told the crowd.
Moore went on to admit the pressure of writing a hit sophomore album after the success of his 2012 debut Up All Night became too much to handle, and contributed to his depression.
"I literally had a hard fight," he recalls to news show ET Canada. "It was a tough time in my life. There were a lot of days where it was hard for me to get out of bed."
Moore adds he is "just now falling out of (it)", and being on the road with Miranda Lambert is helping him conquer the blues.
