Kings Of Leon have announced they will follow their sold-out December tour with a pair of large arena shows in June 2009.

The Followills have already sold out a 12-date series of shows later this year, taking in England, Scotland and Wales.

And the chart-topping US stars have now announced they are to play London's O2 Arena and the Manchester Evening News Arena next June.

Tickets for the concerts will go on sale at 09:00 GMT on Friday November 14th with all tickets priced at £32.50 plus booking fees.

The announcement increases the likelihood that the band will play European festivals next summer, having performed at Glastonbury and V in 2008.

Kings of Leon play the following dates in December:

Brighton Centre (1st)
Nottingham Trent FM Arena (2nd)
Newcastle Metro Arena (4th)
Sheffield Arena (5th)
Glasgow SECC (7th)
Liverpool Echo Arena (8th)
Birmingham NIA (10th)
