Kimberly Stewart and the Oscar-winning actor Benicio Del Toro have welcomed a baby girl. Kimberly, who is no longer in a relationship with the 'Che' star, gave birth at a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday (21st August 2011), according to US Weekly Magazine.
The baby, who is yet to be named, weighed 8lbs 9oz, but it is not clear whether Benicio attended the hospital for the birth. Stewart stunned fans in April after announcing she was pregnant with the actor's baby. The duo had not previously gone public with a relationship and were never photographed together. The actor's spokesman said at the time, "Although (he and Kimberly) are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby". The girl is the first child for both Stewart and Del Toro, who is best known for his award winning performance in the 2000 movie 'Traffic'. Kimberly's father Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster were reportedly at the hospital during the delivery - as was the model's mother Alana Collins. The girl is the first grandchild for the British singer, who recently became a father for the eighth time. Penny gave birth to the couple's second son Aiden in February 2011.
Kimberly Stewart was previously engaged to Talan Torriero, the star of MTV reality show 'Laguna Beach'. The couple called off their engagement less than two weeks after announcing it.
