British singer Kimberley Walsh was left stunned on her recent 30th birthday after her boyfriend surprised her with a romantic trip to Italy and her Girls Aloud bandmates treated her to a diamond ring.
The pop star reached the milestone on 20 November (11) and she held a lavish bash to celebrate.
Nicola Roberts was the only one of Walsh's bandmates among the guests, and she told her pal, "Me, Cheryl (Cole), Sarah (Harding) and Nadine (Coyle) all adore you and look forward to being lifelong friends. Girls Aloud forever!"
Roberts then gave Walsh a gold and diamond ring on behalf of the band - and the star admits she was overwhelmed by all her gifts, especially one presented to her by boyfriend Justin Scott.
She tells Britain's OK! magazine, "In the morning, Justin surprised me with a gift of a trip to Rome in December, which I'm excited about. I did wonder when I opened my present from him and there was lots of different Italian food inside, but then the penny dropped."
And detailing her special piece of jewellery from her pals, Walsh adds: "(It's) a beautiful rose gold and diamond Chopard ring - they wanted to get me something to keep. We were both quite emotional when she gave it to me, as it was strange not having the other girls there as we've spent the last 10 years together."
Harding, who turned 30 on 17 November (11), was not at the bash as she had only just completed a stint in rehab for depression and alcohol addiction.
Walsh explains, "We normally celebrate together, but I'm proud she's facing her demons."
