Kim Wilde Vowed To Stay Sober When She Recorded Her First Ever Christmas Album To Avoid A Repeat Of Her Infamous Drunken Festive Singing On A Train.
The Kids in America singer hit headlines in 2012 when film footage of her drunkenly singing festive songs on a London Underground train emerged online.
Kim admitted she was mortified the impromptu singing session was caught on camera, but when fans showed their appreciation for the funny moment, it inspired her to make a seasonal record.
She hit the studio the following year (13) to record Wilde Winter Songbook, which has been re-released this year (15) with several extra bonus tracks - and Kim has revealed she learned a valuable lesson from her train shame.
She says, "I was inspired by a little incident that happened on a late-night train... I got a bit over-refreshed at a Christmas party... two million people had a look! This is a remake - I was completely sober when I did this!"
