Kim Kardashian believes breakfast is the key to keeping weight off.

The curvy socialite and her sister Khloe - who have lost 10 pounds and 25 respectively in the past year - said eating a balanced and healthy meal each morning has helped to ensure they stay trim.

Kim said: "Before, all I'd have for breakfast was a Grande Soy Chai Latte."

Both sisters now consume a breakfast consisting of foods such as eggs, turkey bacon, fruit and oatmeal, but they advised that they are careful not to deprive themselves if they fancy a tasty treat.

Reality TV star Kim explained to Life and Style magazine: "If I feel like a milkshake, I have one."

Having each other to rely on has also helped the pair to lose weight.

Khloe said: "Kim will always call me and be like, 'Let's go do boot camp!' and that motivates me."

Meanwhile, 'The Hills' star Audrina Partridge advised that she stays toned by working out in front of the television.

She stated: "When I'm sitting in front of the TV, I lift five pound weights or do squats."
