Kim Kardashian West is urging Bruce Jenner not to reveal too much too soon about his gender transition.

The 34-year-old reality TV star and the former Olympian's sons - Brody, Brandon and Burt Jenner - were all impressed by Bruce's tell-all interview with TV host Diane Sawyer on Friday (24.04.15), but fear he risks undoing much of the goodwill directed towards him by subsequently agreeing to star in a documentary charting his gender transition.

The family members fear the show will ''de-class'' what he's accomplished through the interview and have implored Bruce, 65, to shun other interview opportunities and complete his transition in private, according to gossip website TMZ.

Bruce - whose divorced from Kris Jenner was finalised earlier this year - thinks the much-anticipated show will help to educate the public about gender transitioning, but his children have refused to appear in the documentary.

Meanwhile, Kim revealed recently that Bruce had found ''inner peace'' since announcing his gender transition.

Although she confessed she doesn't ''fully understand'' what her stepfather is going through, Kim is glad he's in a better frame of mind.

She said: ''I'm really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it. And that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness. That's what life is about.

''I don't know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren't yourself. I know it's not something that you or I could really fully understand, but I don't even think we have to. As long as he is happy, and he wants to live his life, however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy. And I support him 100 percent.''
