Kim Kardashian was amongst the stars serving up turkey at the Los Angeles Mission Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday (23 November 2011), and although the 31-year-old appears to be going through a rough time in her personal life, she was only too happy to help in the aid of charity.
The reality star was joined by actresses Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Love Hewitt serving up meals for the homeless. A representative told US Weekly that Kim "was very cordial and friendly", adding, "she worked hard in both the food preparation area and in serving the food to the guests". Kim appeared so touched by the experience, she proudly told Twitter followers, "Their goal is to feed 120,000 people by the end of the year!...We fed so many today". The famous trio weren't the only ones to lend their celebrity status to the charity - legendary actor Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne hosted the event for the seventh year in a row, while Blair Underwood also made an appearance.
Kim also took the time to reveal details of the Kardashian family thanksgiving meal, which will include recent Dancing With The Stars runner-up Rob Kardashian. She explained, "We're each cooking a dish, bringing it over and just hanging out.I'm going to make the sweet potato souffle. It's really good!"
