Kim Kardashian was the victim of a "flour bomb" attack while hosting an event in West Hollywood on Thursday (March 22, 2012). Kardashian, 31, was hosting the launch party for her new fragrance True Reflection when a woman threw flour at her on the red-carpet.
Police and paramedics were called to the event but to Kardashian's credit she refused treatment and laughed off the ordeal, telling E! News, "That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me.Like I said to my make-up artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there". The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called to an unidentified hotel on North San Vicente Boulevard where a woman who allegedly threw the powder was detained and later released at the scene. Kardashian told deputies she did not want to press charges and a non-criminal battery report was taken.
Authorities said Kim returned to her room, removed the flour from her hair and clothing and swiftly returned to host the rest of the event. Sister Khloe Kardashian was not at the event, but tweeted, "I wish I was with my sister tonight. I bet you that woman wouldn't have dared tried a thing", adding, "What a low blow to flour bomb someone. You care that much?".
