Kevin Spacey is planning to set the London stage alight by recruiting legendary film-maker Robert Altman to direct Arthur Miller's acclaimed play RESURRECTION BLUES at The Old Vic theatre.

The American Beauty actor is artistic director at the prestigious London playhouse and is convinced the "double whammy" of NASHVILLE maverick Altman and Miller will wow audiences and silence critics who disapproved of his appointment.

Miller, who was once married to screen goddess Marilyn Monroe, was still reworking the play when he passed away earlier this year (10FEB05), despite it being hailed as his greatest work.

Spacey says, "It's a remarkable, challenging play, and Robert continues to be at the top of his game."
