OSCAR-winning actor Kevin Spacey is taking his talents to the small screen, after finalising a deal to make a TV comedy about a real life child genius.

The 44-year-old's TRIGGER STREET PRODUCTIONS company will make a pilot episode based on financial whizz kid TIMOTHY OLSEN's 2003 book THE TEENAGE INVESTOR: HOW TO START EARLY, INVEST OFTEN + BUILD WEALTH.

The ambitious AMERICAN BEAUTY star - who is currently shooting his second film as director, BEYOND THE SEA - will executive produce the FOX show.

Olsen, 13 when he wrote his book, was just eight-years-old when he invested $150 (GBP90) in PEPSICO - shares that gradually turned into $70,000 (GBP42,000).
