Being heavily pregnant didn't stop Kerry Katona getting married in a low-key wedding in Scotland yesterday.
The 26-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer got hitched to taxi driver Mark Croft, 35, in Gretna Green on a Valentine's Day as romantic as it was impending.
With doctors advising Katona that she is due to give birth at any moment, the couple were determined to squeeze in the union before they bring their new child into the world.
According to the Sun newspaper security guards outnumbered family and friends at the ceremony, which took place in a chapel at a hotel.
"There were security guys with earpieces shielding Kerry with umbrellas. You'd have thought they were guarding the Queen," the source said.
Only two friends and Katona's mother were at the wedding; her two children from her marriage to Westlife member Brian McFadden, three-year-old Lilly and five-year-old Molly, stayed at home.
Katona, who reverted to her maiden name after splitting up with McFadden in 2004, left Atomic Kitten in 2001 after becoming pregnant with her first child.
