The head of Kendrick Lamar's record label, Anthony 'top Dawg' Tiffith, found himself at the centre of a major police drama recently when a burglar broke into his California mansion while he was at home.

Tiffith, who runs hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, was at his luxury property in Calabasas, California when an intruder broke in through a back window.

Sources tell the suspect fled the property with two cell phones, and Tiffith called security guards at the gated community, who then alerted police.

The suspect was reportedly hospitalised after the incident, but fled before cops could catch up.

Officers were unable to track down the suspect and have yet to make any arrests.

The house was previously owned by rapper Tyga and neighbours include Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Katie Holmes.
