Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has announced that he and his fourth wife, Kayte are expecting twins. He revealed the news at the Golden Globes awards on Sunday (January 15, 2012) and told reporters that he was excited to meet the 'new arrivals'. According to a report on The Daily Gossip, Grammer described his wife as "the most loving, amazing and warm human being that he has ever met" and said that "she will definitely blow the kids away."
The twins' arrival will mark Kayte's first birth, though her husband acknowledged that she was nervous after experiencing a miscarriage in 2010. Kelsey already has five children and a grandchild, from his previous three marriages. During the awards ceremony, Grammer was awarded the title of Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Drama, for his role in Boss. He won over high quality competitors such as Jeremy Irons and Steve Buscemi to land the award.
Kelsey has previously won two Golden Globes awards, for his starring role in the popular US sitcom Frasier. The show, in which he plays a psychiatrist, is a spin-off of a previous sitcom, Cheers, which spawned a number of stars, including Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Rhea Perlman and Woody Harrelson. Grammer is also the executive producer of Boss, in which he plays the mayor of Chicago. In the show, his character has been recently diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder.
