Kelly Clarkson wants to get pregnant by Christmas.
The 'Stronger' hitmaker, who is due to tie the knot with music manager Brandon Blackstock imminently, is hoping to follow up their nuptials by trying for their first child - and the ambitious 31-year-old singer has set herself a December deadline to meet her goal.
She confessed to Access Hollywood: ''We're getting married soon - like really soon - and I already told him that when we're past the wedding, I want a baby. I was like, 'That's my Christmas present that you can give me.' ''
The 'Mr. Know It All' songstress has some parenting experience already as she plays stepmother to Brandon's two children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous marriage.
Kelly admits she was somewhat ''selfish'' prior to meeting Brandon in 2012, but being around his kids has changed her.
She candidly said: ''I've never worried about other people. I've always been really selfish. It's like, you worry about other people now. It's the whole thing.''
The songstress enjoys spending time with Brandon's children and even helps them with schoolwork.
She added: ''I love doing homework with them. I love just the whole thing. It can get overwhelming for every parent, especially with your schedules when you're working and stuff. But, at the end of the day, it's so much fun just to come home.''
Her parents weren't too fond of the idea.
