Romantic Keith Urban made sure his wife Nicole Kidman's 40th birthday celebrations went off with a bang last week (ends22Jun07) - by lighting up the sky above Bowen, Australia.
The country star flew in to help the actress celebrate her milestone birthday on Wednesday (20Jun07), but she had no idea Urban had gone to great lengths to organise a fireworks display for her.
Kidman, who was filming new movie Australia in Bowen, was taken to the top of Flagstaff Hill to watch a surprise fireworks display her husband had organised for her.
A set party at restaurant Three Sixty On The Hill had to be cancelled, according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph, when Kidman discovered the plans.
Proprietor Jenny Curtis says, "It was all cancelled because Nicole found out about it and she wanted a quiet affair."
Urban's fireworks display included a 'Happy Birthday, Nicole' set on a grid close to the ground.
Kidman's 40th was a big deal for Bowen's local florist Julie Gardiner, who was inundated with requests for huge bouquets.
She tells the Bowen Independent newspaper, "I have spoken to Nicole's mum, her aunty, and I got an order from Tom Cruise and Kate Holmes and the kids, and one from 20th Century Fox.
"I am only a small town florist - for this to happen its a once in a lifetime thing for me."
Kidman and Urban's celebrations will continue well into this week (begs25Jun07) - they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Monday (25Jun07).
