British actress Keira Knightley has been forced to leave her plush new London apartment and move back into her parents' house - because everything in it is "broken".

The BEND IT LIKE beauty, 19, moved into her plush $1.5 million (GBP833,000) property in London's upscale Mayfair district last month (MAY04), but was quickly back in the company of her parents after experiencing a series of problems in her new home.

She says, "I feel very grown up, actually, but (the flat) is broken. The whole thing is broken! It's got water pouring through the ceilings and the electricity doesn't work.

"So I moved in about a month ago and moved out again about a week later. I inspected it and it was all fine and then I moved in and the toilet broke and there was no water and everything else. So I've moved back in with my mum and dad. So I'm not grown up at all!"

And whenever Knightley wasn't dealing with faulty equipment in her home, she was battling another problem - lack of space.

She explains, "I did actually move in with about six other people, which was a bit of a problem because there are actually only two bedrooms so it was very crowded! But I kept on asking more people to move in, and forget that I only had two bedrooms."
