Movie beauty Keira Knightley has a foolproof method of selecting roles - she lets her playwright mother choose which movies she stars in.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL star, 19, may be feted as the next big thing, but she still defers to her mother's opinion of which scripts she should accept.

The British born beauty explains, "My mum is a playwright and I give the scripts to her, and she sort of goes yes or no."

Soon to be seen as GUINEVERE in King Arthur alongside Clive Owen, the actress is more in demand than ever before.

She says, "Recently, I've been saying no. I wouldn't say often, but more often than I did before."
