Keira Knightley steers clear of sitting in the front row at fashion shows because she would rather "sneak in" and catch a glimpse of the catwalk from the back.
The Atonement star is the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance and could easily land premium seats, but she admits she hasn't seen models walk the runway for the French fashion house since 2010 as she hates being in the spotlight.
She tells Harper's Bazaar magazine, "This sounds ridiculous but I don't actually like having my picture taken and I tend to avoid anything where I have that... I would totally sneak in the back! And sit in the back row. I love seeing (the collections) as they were presented. Because it is art, when you see it. And the couple (of shows) that I've been to, they were absolutely extraordinary."
And the actress is full of praise for Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld, adding, "Karl's amazing. He's an avid reader. And he speaks about five different languages, so he'll be rattling English to you and French to somebody else, and German to somebody else, and then the phone rings and he's speaking in Italian."
