Katy Perry says she recorded her part for the forthcoming 'Smurfs' movie whilst wearing her pyjamas.
KATY PERRY, the American pop singer and wife of British comedian Russell Brand, says she wore her pyjamas in the recording studio while voicing parts for 'The Smurfs' movie, reports the Press Association.Speaking at the launch of her new fragrance 'Puff' in Mexico City, the 26-year-old said, "With The Smurfs I get to walk into the studio and I can be in my pyjamas and I make a really cute little voice, which is kind of a mixture of my voice and a little voice" Perry, who voices the character of 'Smurfette', says she felt natural recording the part, adding, "The Smurfs movie was really fun for me cause a lot of times, you know, 360 days out of the year I feel like a cartoon. So I thought playing a cartoon was a natural thing to do". The animated film, set for release on 3rd August 2011, also features the voice of Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays and The Simpsons star Hank Azaria. Perry is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards on 13th February 2011, however, the singer refused to confirm what she will play, coyly remarking, "It's going to be an amazing performance. I don't want to get too much into it, but it's going to be a medley of Teenage Dream. But there's going to be a lot of surprises here and there".
As well as performing at the ceremony, the 26-year-old is also nominated for a number of awards including 'Album of the Year' for her smash-hit record 'Teenage Dream'.
