Pop star Katy Perry took to the streets of New York to march in a gay pride rally on Sunday (26Jun11).
The singer took a break from her current California Dreams tour to participate in the 42nd Annual Lgbt Pride March through the streets of Greenwich Village.
Perry took to her Twitter.com page to post a picture of herself and her dancers waving rainbow flags at the event, which was held just two days after gay marriage was legalised in the state.
She wrote alongside the picture: "We (are) out celebrating Equality For All!"
The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker wasn't the only star at the event - Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter was also celebrating, as was New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who signed the historic bill to recognise same-sex marriage.
