The I Kissed a Girl singer has hauled in $135 million (£90 million) in 2015, according to finance magazine Forbes' annual rich list, giving her the number one spot - up 22 places from last year's 23rd place.

One Direction come in second on the new Forbes list with earnings of $130 million (£86.7 million), while Garth Brooks, Perry's pop rival Taylor Swift and The Eagles round out the top five.

Last year's (14) richest musician, Dr. Dre, falls to 28 on the 2015 list.

Rounding out the top 10 are: Swift's DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Fleetwood MAC and Lady Gaga.
