Williams was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and false imprisonment after police executed a search warrant for his home, relating to allegations suggesting the troubled comedian had ordered his bodyguard to be beaten up earlier this month (Mar16). The security official claimed Williams' team used a baseball bat to hit him and choked him when he refused to "engage in criminal activity" with the funnyman.

A search of the Norbit star's property last Tuesday (08Mar16) allegedly turned up "large quantities" of marijuana and firearms. He was arrested and on Friday (11Mar16), posted the $66,470 (£46,400) bond, but he is now being transferred to the Fulton County Jail from Hall County to face charges of entering an auto, theft by taking, and simple battery.

Williams has found himself at the centre of numerous allegations recently, including claims that he held five women at gunpoint after they reportedly tried to film a meeting with him. He also stands accused of punching an employee at a pool supply store and being involved in a fight at a club in Pennsylvania last weekend (05-06Mar16).

The 42-year-old is also due to stand trial for a felony count of robbery after allegedly teaming up with rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight to steal a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills in 2014. The comedian faces seven years behind bars if convicted.

Despite his slew of legal issues, Williams insists he is doing well.

"I am just like most Christians - under daily attack - but somehow holding up well," he said as he exited the jail on Friday. "God's grace is wonderful... We'll have our day in court and we will be exonerated."
