The 80-year-old, who is now caring for Jackson's children said, "I don't think I will ever be healed. It will get better, but some days it's like it just happened". Oprah, who had been criticised by members of the Jackson family for conducting the interview, asked Joe about the 'beatings' that he reportedly gave to his children. The 82-year-old replied, "I would punish them by whipping them with a strap when they did something wrong, it would've kept them out of trouble".
Michael died of a heart attack in in June 2009, caused by an overdose of the surgical anaesthetic, Propofol. The singer's new single 'Breaking News' was released on Monday 8th November, and a posthumous album entitled 'Michael' will hit shelves on December 14th 2010.
