Kate Upton is conscious of being too sexy.

The Sports Illustrated model admits she's careful not to cross the line when it comes to her feminine look and has strict ''limits'' about what kind of jobs she takes.

The buxom blonde told the new issue of American VOGUE magazine: ''It's just part of my personality, and maybe some things I took too far, but ... I like being sexy'', adding that she ''definitely has limits''.

''There's a line between becoming, you know, a little cheap and cheesy versus being sexy. And I try to be very careful of that line.''

Kate, 21, is adept at raising her profile via social media - namely thanks to her Cat Daddy YouTube videos - and believes it's an important part of being a model nowadays.

She said: ''People think I am an expert on social media, but I am still trying to figure it out, too. How much do you want to put yourself out there?''

However, the bombshell's online presence has it's downsides since she was reportedly recently forced to take legal action against joke company, Celeb Jihad, after it allegedly edited topless images of her from a recent Sports Illustrated magazine shoot with the headline, ''Kate Upton Naked Outtake From SI Swimsuit 2014''.

Meanwhile, Kate has just been unveiled as the new face of cosmetics company Bobbi Brown. She will star in their ads from July, taking over from the brand's first celebrity spokeswoman, Katie Holmes.
