Piper Chapman is still in prison during her fifteen month stint following her conviction of transporting drug money for her ex-girlfriend Alex Vause ten years ago. She thought she had escaped her risky youth, but her one crime had finally caught up with her despite now living a perfectly ordinary, law-abiding life with a soon-to-be husband. Perception Review

Weak
In too good of a mood today? Park yourself in front of Perception for 104 minutes and you'll be drinking yourself to sleep come nightfall.

As melodrama goes, Perception is filled to the absolute brim with it. What seems like it will start off as a lighthearted, quirky comedy soon becomes something entirely else. Piper Perabo stars as Jen (not "Jennifer"), who's just returned to New York after a failed stint at living in L.A. Here, we find her parents are in rapid mental decline. Her semi-girlfriend (Heather Burns) is clingy and, well, stupid. Her ex-boyfriend (Seth Meyers) keeps coming around. And then Jen, in one of the big "holy crap!" moments of cinema, gets run over by a truck.

Trekkies Review

Excellent
Hilarious in the way that true stories only can be, Trekkies is a documentary that looks inside the lives of the world's most rabid fanatics: Star Trek fans. Nuttiness knows no bounds with these guys, who bid hundreds of dollars for a prosthesis used on the show, who make their own costumes, who travel across the country to go to the conventions, and who idolize the stars of Trek with a zeal otherwise unknown to man. At the same time, the amount of love these people share and the strong values the show has instilled in them make them not as pathetic as you'd think. A devilishly compelling story that makes you question when you're supposed to laugh. Not to be missed for any fan of sci-fi.
