The 38-year-old supermodel - who married The Kills frontman in July last year - is well known for her partying ways but her dad Peter believes the nuptials have changed her for the better.
He told The People newspaper: "Everybody has to move on. It's natural if you've done all those long parties like Kate you want to change because you are enjoying different things.
"She still likes to party occasionally but marriage to Jamie is definitely good for her. When you have a husband you can't party all the time."
Kate celebrated her 38th birthday with a quiet meal with Jamie and close pal Stella Mccartney last week, a huge difference to her previous lavish bashes including a rowdy Bachelorette party with 30 friends last year.
The model and her friends - who enjoyed Mahiki rum, magnums of Cristal champagne, Grey Goose vodka and Tanqueray gin - reportedly wrecked two Pink Hummers with their wild partying at the Isle of Wight Festival.
A source said at the time: "There were broken champagne bottles and glasses just left across the floor of the car - they had been completely wrecked."
