Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is set to meet the cast and crew of hit period drama Downton Abbey during a special visit to the set.

The pregnant British royal will make a trip to Ealing Studios in London to meet castmembers including Dame Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth MCGovern, Lesley Nicol and Robert James-Collier, as well as the show's creator Julian Fellowes.

The Duchess will view the set where many of the servants' scenes are filmed, and see the show's make-up artists, costume designers and seamstresses at work, while she will also team up with Bonneville to unveil a plaque there.

The visit is set to take place on 12 March (15).

Prince William previously revealed the royals are both big fans of the hit Tv show, admitting his wife introduced him to the series following the birth of their son, Prince George, in 2013.
