Actress Kate Hudson turned to Goldie Hawn for advice on juggling her career with parenthood because the Oscar winner continued to find success even after becoming a mother.

The Almost Famous star hasn't slowed down since welcoming sons Ryder, nine, and Bingham, 19 months, and she is currently busy shooting a guest arc on hit U.S. Tv series Glee.

Hudson admits she owes her strong work ethic to her mother Hawn, who showed her it's possible to balance life as an actress with motherhood.

She tells America's Glamour magazine, "I always remember my mum saying that there's only one thing in life she refused to fail at: raising her children. It just shows you it's very possible to do the thing that makes you happy and still raise a wonderful family."

Hudson insists she is enjoying every minute as a mother and reveals she has been able to keep her svelte physique by chasing after her youngest son, who loves to run around.

She gushes, "He's sprinting! And he's got a natural mullet, which I'm cutting soon. It's growing only in the back, so we in the family say he takes after... Kurt (Russell, my stepfather) because Kurt was a mullet guy in the eighties. Bing's been singing too. He loves music. And Ryder is the coolest cat - an amazing big brother, so patient and tolerant. Bing pulls his hair, and Ryder just laughs. He's such a good person. I couldn't be a prouder mommy."
