Kate Gosselin, the American reality television star and mother of eight children, has been ordered to pay a marriage therapist more than $10,000 in a dispute over counselling, reports the UK's Daily Mail. Kate Gosselin is best known for her role on 'Jon and Kate Plus 8', but she divorced from her husband Jon Gosselin in 2009.
Marriage therapist Sylvia Lafair claims that she flew to Los Angeles at Gosselin's request to counsel her and husband Jon in 2009. Lafair sued last year after Kate decided against paying for the services and travel. Testifying last week, Kate claims she never had contact with the marriage therapist, who is the head of Creative Energy Options in White Haven. The Judge Gerald Feissner disagreed with Gosselin and ordered her to pay the marriage counselling company $10,476. It has since been reported that the reality star is choosing not to pay the sum and her lawyer has already filed an appeal in the case. Kate Gosselin achieved national recognition back in 2004 when she gave birth to sextuplets, having previously welcomed twins four years earlier.
The new series of Kate Gosselin's hit show 'Kate Plus 8' made its highly anticipated returns to screens in April 2011. The reality star recently hit the headlines after being photographed wearing a strange choice of hat at the Kentucky Derby.
