Fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld has added director to his list of accomplishments after writing and directing his first short film.
The style guru has created The Tale of a Fairy as a tribute to his affluent customers in a 25-minute film.
He tells the Associated Press, "In the movie, they wear dresses from the (annual Chanel Cruise) collection, so it's kind of a narrative around the kind of women who buy these clothes."
The primarily black and white film chronicles the rich and powerful in Monte Carlo. It first screened at Chanel's 2011-2012 Cruise show on Monday (09May11).
Lagerfeld's muses actresses Blake Lively and Rachel Bilson were both on hand to show their support.
His film will be available for viewing online on Tuesday (10May11).
