Kara Tointon, the ex-Eastenders actress turned West End star, has revealed she feels "weird" about her beau partnering former Australian pop star Holly Valance in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Kara and dancer Artem Chigvintsev fell for each other on last year's show, and recently moved into a North London home together. However, Artem has been partnered with singer turned actress Valance, leaving Tointon feeling somewhat uncomfortable. She told Star Magazine, "Artem dancing with another woman? I'm going to find that really weird". Kara and Chigvintsev went on to win the trophy on last year's show, and the dancer is heavily tipped to repeat the feat with his new partner. Last week, Valance nervously tweeted, "Home now prepping for 1st days training. How does one prepare for an a*s kicking Artem? Yours. ;)", to which the dancer reassuringly replied "Don't worry, you'll be fine". Holly later added, "How are you at eggs & bacon? Cos I'm gonna be peckish when I get in?! ;)". Valance is currently dating the billionaire property tycoon Nick Candy, perhaps best known for managing the development of 'One Hyde Park', one of the most prestigious apartment buildings in the world.
Other celebrities competing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing include pop star Lulu, comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner, former politician Edwina Currie and actor JASON DONOVAN.
