UK rapper Kano will miss playing his sold out London show after police axed the concert amid security fears.

Following a series of tip offs, the British capital's Metropolitan Police decided there is a sufficient threat to fans to justify closing the Scala venue tomorrow (27OCT05).

They cited "undesirable elements" in the 19-year-old's entourage as the reason behind their controversial move, fearing the nightclub event could descend into bloody gang violence.

A spokesman for the force says, "Certain undesirable elements could be attending as part of the artist's associates.

"The event may attract people who don't like (the performers)."

The TYPICAL ME hitmaker is devastated he will not be able to perform in his home city as part of his debut tour.

In a statement Kano says: "I have performed in London practically my whole career and there have never been any problems. It's where I started out and for me there's no better place to perform.

"It's a shame that on my first ever UK tour I am unable to play to my home town. I am sorry for my fans that the show couldn't happen this time round. I'll be back."
