Justin Timberlake is primed to begin working on a follow-up album to his solo debut - with the help of music guru Timbaland.

The music producer - who has collaborated with Missy Elliott and Jay-Z in the past - has been in talks with BRIT-winner Timberlake about helping him record a follow-up to his hit 2002 longplayer JUSTIFIED.

Timbaland says, "Justin and I had a long chat last night and he said he is ready to start the next album. We've pencilled in May (04)."

Timbaland has also spoken of his desire to work with another popular chart act - British band Coldplay.

He explains, "The group I want to work with now is Coldplay because that's all I listen to. That's my favourite band.

"Coldplay aren't boring. I love 'em."
