Justin Timberlake performed his second free concert within a week in New York City last night (01.09.2011)
The 30-year-old singer was supporting rock/hip-hop group FreeSol who are signed to his Tennman Record label, they performed a full set before the former N-SYNC star appeared. "For the record, I'm not trying to be a serious actor" the SexyBack singer said according to People.com. The free concert took place at New York's Irving Plaza, the 1,200 person venue opened its doors at 9.15pm with the show getting underway at 11pm. The pop superstar performed an array of hits including Cry Me a River, Like I Love You and What Goes Around, Comes Around. Timberlake has been making the headlines for a variety of reasons in recent months; he has starred alongside Mila Kunis in romantic comedy Friends With Benefits and has also been rumoured to be dating Hollywood actress Jessica Biel again.
The Tennessee born superstar first gained fame as a member of pop boy band N-SYNC, he later went solo releasing his debut album Justified in 2002 which sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. He has also won critical acclaim winning six Grammy Awards and two EMMY awards. The singer also has been involved in many charitable causes such as Challenge for the Children and the Justin Timberlake foundation which helps school children through music programs.
