British funnyman Justin Lee Collins sought help from a psychotherapist after he was convicted of harassing his ex-girlfriend.

The comic/Tv star has remained largely out of the spotlight since 2012 after he was found guilty of harassing Anna Larke, who accused him of making her life a misery during their seven-month relationship.

Collins, who is preparing to relaunch his career with a new job on U.K. radio, has now revealed he enrolled in treatment to help him move on from his troubles.

He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I apologise unreservedly. But at that point in my life I was a troubled soul... I needed help and to chat to someone impartial. We (my therapist and I) talked through the toxic relationship, the court case and how to find a way to deal with everything. The therapy continues."
