The Canadian popstar has hit headlines with news of his bad boy antics on numerous occasions, but he is also keenly involved in charity work and regularly donates to those in need.

The 22-year-old surprised Spain Elementary-Middle School in Detroit earlier this year (16) while on The Ellen Degeneres Show, after discovering the school had no heating, books, technology, a fully-functioning roof or a complete set of teaching staff.

Justin pledged to donate thousands of dollars, on top of the $500,000 (£382,000) promised by the 58-year-old chat show host.
