Julianne Moore has been invited to a soccer game in her mother's hometown and bosses of the local club hope to offer her a season ticket if she wins big at this year's (15) Academy Awards.

The star's mother was born in Greenock, Scotland and Moore proudly discussed her heritage at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards on Sunday (08Feb15), when she picked up the Best Actress prize for her role in Still Alice.

Moore has now been offered the chance to visit the town and watch a game at local soccer club Greenock Morton F.C.

Bosses of the club also want to offer her a regular seat at their Cappielow Park base if she wins the Best Actress prize at the upcoming Academy Awards.

Greenock Morton Chief Executive Gillian Donaldson tells Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, "We would be delighted to welcome Julianne to a match here at Cappielow. The weather in Greenock may demand slightly warmer attire to that for the red carpet, however we are sure there will be plenty of volunteers to hold an umbrella for her! If she wins an Oscar we may even consider offering her a season ticket!"
