Judi Dench will reclaim her position as Queen of the West End, when she, Daniel Radcliffe, Jude Law, David Walliams, Sheridan Smith and SIMON RUSSELL BEAL headline a string of budget plays produced and directed by Michael Grandage.
Dench will begin her turn on the stage midway through the run of plays, as she is set to star in the new play by John Logan titled "Peter and Alice." It will see her perform as Alice Liddell Hargreaves, who served as the inspiration behind Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice in Wonderland. The play will look explore her meeting with Peter Llewelyn Davies, who will be played by Ben Whishaw, the inspiration for the character Peter Pan, who Carroll used to create two of the most favoured modern classics. It will run from March 9th to June 1st, 2013.
Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe meanwhile will star in the coming-of-age comedy "The Cripple of Inishmaan," playing the title role of Cripple Billy. Jude Law will take on the titular role of King Henry V in the William Shakespeare play, whilst Smith and Walliams will star in another Shakespeare production, this time playing Titiana and Bottom, respectively, in A Midsummer Nights Dream. Russell Beal will begin proceedings when he takes to the stage for Privates On Parade, beginning on December 1st 2012.
