Singer Joss Stone bitterly regrets setting up a lovenest with music producer Beau Dozier when she was just 17 years old, admitting she was way too young for a serious romance.
The British pop star raised eyebrows when she moved in with 25-year-old Dozier in Los Angeles while she was still under the age of consent in California.
Their controversial relationship ended after two years and Stone now concedes she was wrong to set up home with Dozier at such a tender age - and should have listened to her mum.
She tells Marie Claire magazine, "That was a bad one. I can't go into it, but it wasn't good... Looking back, it was such a bad idea. I regret it. I look at my ID when I got my California driving licence at 17 and I look like a baby girl. Now I can understand where my mum was coming from. If that was my daughter, I would have killed him."
