1970s rocker Danny Collins (Al Pacino) has earned a reputation for himself as a sell-out. He hasn't written a song for years, and his family has been left behind while he embarks upon the life of a true rock star. But when his manager reveals a previously lost handwritten letter from John Lennon, instructing Collins to remember who he is and not lose himself. Wondering what could have happened if he had actually received the letter 40-years-ago, Collins embarks on a journey to rediscover his family and find out just what made him famous in the first place.

Jed Eckert is a marines soldier visiting his police officer father and football playing younger brother Matt. All seems well in their normal American town before the blackout. There is a sudden mass powercut across a large chunk of the country and before long, a squadron of aircrafts fill the sky with hundreds of North Korean soldiers parachuting from them. It's an invasion rendering the country powerless and under the threat of a powerful weapon that the Korean government has somehow obtained. Jed and Matt's father order them to hide out in a small cabin that they own in the wilderness; they do so and gather a group of likeminded teenagers along the way. Their father gets captured by the military forces while they hide and he uses a megaphone to bravely tell his sons to kill the soldiers holding him prisoner and he is subsequently shot and killed. The teenagers later find the cabin has been torched and Jed vows to fight back. The others join him and call themselves the Wolverines after their high school mascot. They make plans, along with experienced American soldiers, to steal back the weapon and win back their homeland.

America has failed to win at the Battle of the Year International Championships for fifteen years despite having been the country to create the sport in the first place. The BOTY is a breakdancing competition that reaches out to the artistic talent of dancers across the globe from the States, to Korea, Japan, Russia and France; the b-boys (breakdancers) of the entire world gather together to compete in this prestigious tournament. A hip hop expert and ex-breakdancer Dante from LA is desperate to put the origin country of America back at the top where she belongs and so he hires his friend and former championship basketball coach Blake to whip his team into shape before the competition in three months' time. He's a tough talker and won't accept anything other than the best dancers and highest performances and so he and Dante put together the ultimate b-boy dream team in order to beat the world champions.

Sid, Manny and Diego are doing a good job so far of surviving the Ice Age but now a new danger is threatening to finish them off - continental drift. The three heroes are now living on a small iceberg in the middle of the ocean and they are determined to find the rest of the herd, while trying to work out how it all happened. Unbeknownst to them, the cause of the problem leads back to Scrat and yet another attempt at rescuing his precious nut.
