@Straightarrow372 I disagree with you on that and Believe Joanne's speach though I've not seen it to be the most moving as it's her late husbands legacy the event was celebrating and at root she's always been a gentlewoman from the south. I can almost hear the emotional cracking in her voice without having seen her speach

Did your reporter actually attend this concert? It doesn't sound like it.The most poignant moments were when the kids performed. There was a very disabled young man who was a brilliant speaker: articulate, funny. He got the most enthusiastic response. Also there was a young woman who played the piano and sang, who was extremely moving. Also the finale with NaTasha Yvette Williams, a relatively obscure Broadway Singer, singing "Firework" was totally amazing -- much better than Katy Perry does that song.You guys are missing the boat here.
