Actor Josh Duhamel is urging his fans to join him on a charity run in California on Sunday (27Mar11) to raise money for the Japan relief appeal.
The Transformers star was shocked to see the scenes of devastation in the country following a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami earlier this month (Mar11) and he's determined to help survivors of the disaster.
He's organised the Relief Run along Santa Monica beach and he's calling on locals to join him on the two-mile (3.2 kilometres) sprint to raise money for the American Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.
In a post on his website, Duhamel writes, "If you're like me, you've seen the pain and suffering going on in Japan right now, and really feel the need to help, to physically help - to actually Do Something. Well, we can!"
Entrants are asked to pay $10 (£6.25) to take part in the race. The actor organised a similar run to raise funds for Haiti following the earthquake in the country last year (10).
